Privacy Notice

This notice explains what happens to the information you send to Silva Handyman Contractor LLC through this website. It describes the site as it is actually built. It is not a certification or an audit statement, and it does not claim compliance with any framework.

The estimate request form collects your full name, phone number, project ZIP code and a description of the work, all of which are required. Your email address, city and preferred project timing are optional, except that an email address becomes required if you choose email as your preferred contact method. You also choose how you would like to be contacted, and you confirm that you have read this notice.

You may attach up to 5 photos in JPEG, PNG or WebP format, up to 10 MB each. Photos usually show parts of your home, so treat them as personal information.

We also record which page you submitted from and any campaign parameters (such as utm_source) present in the address you arrived on, so the business can tell which channel produced an enquiry. These campaign values are stored separately from your contact details.

Your details are used to respond to your estimate request, to discuss the scope of the work with you and to arrange the project. There is no marketing opt-in on the form, and no newsletter, advertising list or automated marketing message is built from it.

Estimate requests are stored in the business’s private database. Uploaded photos are stored on the site’s own hosting, in the business’s object storage or in a dedicated upload folder, under a randomly named address. They are not linked from any public page, they are not listed anywhere, and nothing on the site points to them. Be aware of what that does and does not mean: the address is unguessable rather than protected, so anyone who obtains the exact address could open the file. Do not attach anything you would not want forwarded.

A notification email containing your request is sent to the business owner through Web3Forms, a form-to-email service, which delivers the message and the links to your photos to the owner’s own inbox. Because the message is produced and sent from your browser, Web3Forms and your email provider will see the delivery, as they would for any message you send. The site itself is hosted on infrastructure provided by Manus, which processes the data on the business’s behalf. Your information is not sold.

Requests are kept while the enquiry and any resulting project are active, so that the work and its history can be referenced. If you would like your request and photos removed, ask using the contact details below and it will be deleted.

Website analytics is optional and is only active when the business has configured a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID. When it is active, the site records anonymous interaction events such as a phone-number click, a text-message click and an estimate form submission. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, ZIP codes, project descriptions and uploaded photos are never sent to analytics.

The public pages of this site do not set advertising or tracking cookies of their own. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set its own cookies in your browser.

The home page shows reviews from the business’s Google profile. They are not stored on this site: the review list and the star rating are delivered to your browser by Elfsight, a third-party review widget, and the reviews themselves come from Google. Loading that widget means Elfsight and Google can see your connection address and browser, exactly as they would on any site that embeds their content.

The widget is only fetched when you scroll down to the reviews section, and it is not loaded on any other page of this site. Silva Handyman Contractor LLC receives no personal information from it. Like any embedded third-party content, it may set its own cookies in your browser, and those are outside this site’s control.

To protect the form from spam and abuse, the server applies a submission rate limit per connection and a hidden anti-bot field. For rate limiting, a one-way hash of your connection address is stored instead of the address itself. Uploaded files are checked by inspecting their actual contents, not only their file extension.

You can ask what information the business holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can also choose not to use the form at all: call or text (410) 200-1759 instead, or email silvahandymancontractor@gmail.com.
